LETTER FROM ALLIANCE NEPAL

2

Dear Friends and Supporters,

April’s catastrophic earthquake more than in Nepal killed 8000 people, injured countless others, and left survivors to endure life-threatening shortages of food, water, and shelter. News reports show heartbreaking scenes of death and ruin in Kathmandu and on Mount Everest, but the massive quake also destroyed hundreds of homes and schools in Nepal’s most remote and impoverished rural villages.

Alliance Nepal is on the ground in earthquake hit area, and we are working to bring immediate aid to rural communities in the wake of this horrible tragedy. Our team has recently returned from remote areas of Rasuwa, Dhading, Gorkha District after distributing relief items to earthquake survivors. You can explore photos of our effort here: https://www.facebook.com/AllianceNepalVolunteerPrograms

Now, we are planning to go most needy remote areas of Gorkha District with relief items.

We are planning to help to build Five Primary schools in remote area. We have finished two schools with temporary classes. We are still making some schools with Bamboo and Aluminum sheets. There are more than four thousand schools which were damaged.

Please contribute to our Earthquake Relief Fund.  Your donation will allow alliance Nepal to mobilize essential resources to ensure needed supplies to the school affected by the earthquake, particularly those in the Gorkha District near its epicenter.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to support on construction. Please try to arrange some group about 10 to 15 people.
